Additional Assessment Tools

Here are a couple more tools to assess your level of global competence!

  1. Pisa 2018 Global Competence Assessment:  I recommend the OECD PISA Global Competence Framework because it provides schools with a research-based framework for examining global competence from multiple perspectives. This resource is especially valuable because it encourages schools to look beyond isolated global activities and consider whether global competence is systematically incorporated throughout the educational experience.

  2. AFS Global Context Readiness for Schools:  What Iike about this framework is that it moves beyond defining the four pillars of global learning and it gives you indicators of what each pillar looks like in action. It is great to know what each pillar means but it will be much more helpful to assess where your students are at if you can identify in which ways they are actively able to demonstrate global competence.
